When I grew up I had 2 “best friends”, Larry and Steve. You may know of Steve’s dad. He was Charlie Boswell, the blind golfer. We moved to the neighborhood when we were all around 12 years old. Steve had lived in Homewood and Larry in Vestavia and they had never met. The point is that it turned out that Steve and Larry were both born on the same day, in the same hospital, St. Vincent’s, within an hour of each other. Don’t you find that funny? Their birthday was May 1st.
