Not only can you COPY TO MySpreadsheet.xls TYPE XL5, you can write the information in the cells and format it nicely by OLE automation.
Go into Excel, start recording a macro, do some stuff (paste in data, change the number of decimal places, make it bold type) then stop the macro. Then, use the VBA editor to see the macro you have just created.
You can copy this macro into VFP, make a few changes, and drive your spreadsheet from VFP!
