I'll confirm that. I have also tried to make a mail application connecting through Exchange Server. I attempted to alter the reply address and the Display Name. I was unsuccessful in doing so. Hovever if you make you application pass through and logon a pop server then you can do this. And basically send mail to anyone from anyone. The only problem is it will tag the name of the server you passed it through. such as my isp (mail.berk.com) gets attached to the message when this is done.
