Ed,
>I'm doing the sum on a different view (child). So moving the pointer on the Parent record is not the problem. I've created another view that contains the sum command right in the query so I've gotten around the problem, but I'd like to know if others have had this problem and were they able to overcome it while still using the sum command. Is it a VFP issue or a MereMortal Issue?>
You shouldn't be experiencing this problem from either VFP or the Framework.
Are you *certain* that when you return to the page, that the view used as the ControlSource for the textboxes is sitting on the correct record? Is it possible that ThisForm.LockScreen is set to True?
If you refresh the page, and the ControlSources are set properly AND the record pointer is on the correct record, there's no reason why shouldn't see the values in the textboxes.
