Bill,

Before I posted this answer I went into word, made a table, then started recording a macro (Tools | Macro | Record new macro). In the macro I selected the table (menu Table | Select table) and saved as.... Then open the macro (Tools | Macro Macros | Edit ).

You can copy the macro into VFP, edit it a little, and off you go.
