Since John K. has described considerable familiarity with these insurance problems, he's probably way ahead with a solution whenever he's available. The rest of us will need a much more complete description of the rules to be implemented. Some of us prefer a SQL solution. I find that SQL either works perfectly or not at all, and I rarely find hidden problems. xBase can sometimes be faster, and some people find it easier or better for them.
