The reason you see this only with certain controls is that some controls process keystorkes themselvs while others don't and so the keystroke gets passed onto to event handler in VFP.

Hi Jim,

I have a different but similar problem with Ctrl+S. It is a hot key in the menu to save the current record in the form. But I found that if the cursor is in
a non-empty text box. Pressing ctrl+s will not trigger my hot key action (ie.
to save current record) but would hightlight (selecting) the contents of the text box. Only when pressing ctrl+S again will trigger my hot key action. I even use OKL to trap the ctrl+S, same thing happens. Why?
