Are you really sure this does not work? It works OK for me. The scroll bars WERE disabled until the EditBox got focus, just clicking on the scroll bars does not give the control focus. Once I either clicked in the edit box, or tabbed to it, the scroll bars functioned and the control was "read only", I could not change the text.
