Thanks to all who gave answers, all of which would appear to work. Michelle has given the 'A' answer, that is, the answer which appeals to the guy trying to get this done quick and get outside on a Saturday, also known as the 'programming is fine but I could do without it today' answer.
Here's the overview and review:
1 - Open document in Word, highlight and copy the table.
2 - Open Excel and paste
3 - Save as in Dbase III format.
4 - Here's the bonus points - since my table had headers, the Excel save utility was smart enough to make those the field names.
I've got about 40 of these to do, and this method will go at about 30 seconds per. Outstanding ...
>Do you have Excel? I _think_ I did this once, but it's fuzzy. I vaguely remember copying a Word table over to Excel
>and then doing a "Save as" into a fox-compatable table. (DBASE IV, I think)
