Database Events will allow you to hook code to a long list of events, including those shown on the website, and many more. Some that were mentioned tonight were "AfterOpenTable", "BeforeModifyTable", and "BeforeUpdateTable".
You will be able to control unauthorized modifications to the DBC and table structures, and also write your own security scheme that can be called by the events. That's all I know so far, but your imagination is the limit, since you can do pretty much whatever you want in your event code.
