Hi Kevin,

Not a problem. I've received my fair share of time-savers and life-saver from UT, so always glad to help when I can.

First of all, I am assuming you've done all these steps on the same machine.

In step 5, you say you login to VSS as yourself. Are you logged in as admin in the previous steps?

I would have copied PROJECT1 from W:\ to C:\DEVELOP\PROJECT1 first and then added it to source control from there. I know you tried detaching the project from VSS and Destroying it in VSS and then re-adding it, but when you re-added it did you add it from C:\DEVELOP\?

It sounds to me like some sort of Working Directory conflict, either in VSS itself or in the interface of VFP and VSS caused by adding the project from one directory and then joining the project to another directory on the same machine.

Double check in VSS Explorer that the Working Directory for this project is correct. i.e. $\PROJECT1 is C:\DEVELOP\PROJECT1, $\PROJECT1\FORMS is C:\DEVELOP\PROJECT1\FORMS, etc. If that seems correct, try the suggestion 2 paragraphs up if you haven't already.

Let me know if this helps. If not, we'll try and add a few more pieces until the puzzle is done :-)

PS I was down your way 2 years ago and I'm coming back over the pond again in a week and a half. Can't wait.

>I have a project in directory W:\PROJECT1
>I load Visual FoxPro and open the project, then click Add Project to Source Control, this then does the necessary.
>I close the project.
>I click File, then Join Source Control Project.
>I then login into VSS as myself.
>I click on $\project1, then I change the directory to C:\DEVELOP\PROJECT1 as my working directory.
>It then copies the files over to C:\DEVELOP\PROJECT1 and I can happily open the project from here and make changes.

>The only problem, is that whenever I make changes and update the project list, it doesn't touch W:\PROJECT1's files.
