Thanks for the reply. My problem is that my *main* form is a top-level form--no problem running this with a menu. The rest of my forms (which I want to stay within the bounds of the main form) are modeless but I cannot use a menu with them. It is sounding like this is just the way it is and I missed something in the docs. Thanks again.
