Not a problem. Now that you know that the VSS database holds the actual files, a few tips for you and your other 2 developers.

1. Before adding any new file to the project, first choose Project / Source Control / Update Project List... from the menu, then add the file, then choose Project / Source Control / Update Project List... again. This will help prevent merge conflicts for the project.

2. Once you've added a file following tip #1, let your other developers know to choose Project / Source Control / Update Project List... as well. Until they do this they will not see the new file.

Any other problems just let me know.

PS Oh, I think that applies to anywhere. You know the saying, It's a nice place to visit but you wouldn't want to live here.
