Sorry, you'll have to count at least once:

Create a table with the same structure as the text file
(cf1 C(12), nf2 N(4), cf3 C(8), df4 D, etc..)

Then just: Append from (textfile) TYPE SDF

Make sure you trap errors caused by non-data lines in the text file into a dbf record. (i doubt your text-report is an ideal import)
