Title:
Banyan/Vines known problems with VFPro 6
We run Executible and Data from shared Bantan/Vines Server with B_Mail, and all the other standard user adm overhead, plus the Oracle and PowerBuilder Executibles. The Server is a 486 with 128meg of memory. Running several pgms at the same time we are experiencing many GPF's and system lock-ups.
No single culprit, but E_Mail, Corel 8, and Word 2000 are all hanging up more than VFPro. Especially the E-Mail and Network Coel 8.
We are told Oracle runs fine, and everything else is OK. It is just when we use VFPro there is a problem.
I know NT and Novell, but I have no idea what Banyan does. Could it be a Banyan/VFPro interface or marriage problem?
Would we be smart to place the VFPro executible on the user C: Drive?
Is there an optimum configuration for Banyan and VFPro to work best together?
If no to all the above, anyone know a Banyan/VFPro guru?
Thank you very much.
