Have you looked at ADO/OLEDB (http://www.microsoft.com/data)? Microsoft has an OLEDB driver for Oracle, and Oracle has finally released one as well. I've used the MS driver, which did not work with (C)LOB fields. I've also done a little testing with a beta release of Oracles driver, which seemed to work well.

>Our IS dept is paranoid about using ODBC because it is single threaded. I am trying to find out if amyone is using COM or COM+ to connect to an Oracle database. The database is state accounting data that is millions and I do not have a choice about the data warehouse i can use. I hear there is an Oracle dll or some file that will interface with COM. Trying to find someone that has used or configured it is the issue. If anyone knows the magic to create this connection, please let me know.
