I was looking into SoftSentry about the same time you posted your question. I just went to their web site a week ago to purchase it (the trialware and internet solutions looked good). They said that they were bought out by Symantec. I think it was 1 May when they discontinued shipping. Today I got a reply to my inquiry of SoftSentry's availability and they said it will NOT be available any time. "SoftSentry is not aligned with the overall Internet Security or change and configuration management strategy with Symantec Corporation."

I have been using InstallShield with some success, but they don't have a trialware solution yet so I would build time bombs into the VFP code. Third party solutions were suggested in a phone conversation I had with one of InstallShield's tech support people. I didn't write those companies' names down since at that point I decided to go with SoftSentry.

I will call InstallShield back to see when they plan to release their trialware, and I will continue to look for other options. I was even hoping to find someone on the universalthread that may have an extra copy of SoftSentry for sale. That's how I found your message.
