Ed:
Thanks for your reply. Now the gotcha'. I took a foxrun.pif from a system that works and copied it to the Win95 system that doesn't close. I even created a dmtcom.pif in the folder where our Clipper ap will create the batch file. No joy. I've re-written my code to eliminate calling a batch file. My code uses your LauchAndWait class (very cool, BTW) to execute a DOS app that I MUST use to prepare files for sending to hand-helds. I get these windows popping up all over my screen that I have to close manually on this same Win95 system. I've looked for _default.pif, default.pif, etc. I think I've gotten all of the ms-dos command items I can find and set the close on exit to .T.
In my re-written code, that eliminates the batch file, I used the LockDesktop API call and on systems that close on exit, LockDesktop works great. However, on NT 4.0 sp4 and Win2K, it doesn't work at all. I asked several people at DevCon (Rick Strahl was one suggestion) and no one had a solution. Any ideas on any of these items?
Thanks,
Mike
