This is not normal in my experience - an executable compiled for VFP 5.0 should (heh heh) run on any machine that has a properly installed copy of VFP 5.0 on it without further installation action - the Registry already has the appropriate alterations (minus uninstall capabilities) and the .dll files are in place.
I suspect it indicates problems with your VFP installation.
