Both the VFP TasTrade example and the Visual FoxPro 3.0 codebook use a method called "WriteBuffer" to flush the contents of the current control to the buffer if the user clicks on a toolbar. Both however, conveniently avoid updating the buffer if the control is in a grid (apparently strange things happen when you try to do this).

Is there a way to reliably update the buffer when the current control is a field in a grid?
