I was lucky, because Oracle trained me in their Oracle Power Objects language so I could become one of their trainers. I got a VERY good grounding in OOP which made the xBase move to VFP relatively easy. Oddly, they gave me no training in client/server, because all of their other trainees came from Oracle main-frame programming and knew it already.
