hope you don't mind if i answer since you entered a thread, not email. unless you have to support win3.1, get vfp5 (only avail. in professional)

3 or 5 are quite different from 2.6, so put them somewhere else (default install to vfp). both will read 2.6 files, but suggest re-engineering system instead of straight convert.
