I want to use HTML-help for my application, but I have a big problem. The *.chm files don't work from other computers than mine.
When I create an EXE-file from an application and run it on my computer, the help command or F1 key works good with the HTML help system, but when I run it from another computer where not VFP6 is installed, absolutely nothing is happening when pressing F1.
What must I do to get it work on all machines? The answer I have got, is that I must install the help engine on every computer witch is running the program, and I can do it with the distribution setup program.
The problem is that I don't want to use any setup program that the user must run. We have 2000 computers in the company that can run the application now from the network, without any installations, except for a shortcut to the desktop. I don't want to go to every machine and install the help environment. There must be an easier way to do that!!!
I want to solve the problem with some code in beginning of the application for example.
My goal is that the users should not do anything except to starting the application. (No, it's not a goal, it's a must)
I have tried to make the installation manually, by copying files (hhctrl.ocx, itircl.dll, itss.dll...) to the system directory, and running the help setup (hhupd.exe)… etc etc. Nothing helps. What files must I install? Must I do something in the windows registry? Does anyone have an idea how I should do to get this to work?
Or must I give up my try to do HTML-help?

Thanks in advance
