If you are going to convert the app and gradulally mvoe it to OO, then neither Maxframe or CodeBook is really going to help you. Maxframe and CodeBook are both very good OO frameworks for VFP, however they require that your application comply with their conventions and rules in order for the framework to fucntoin correctly. I am sure that none of the 2.x code that you have complies with either of these frameworks.

If you can make it to Devcon in San Diego, I am giving a presentation on Designing Your Own Framework there which could be of help to you in selecting a framework.

Everything I have heard about MEI's conversion seminar has been good (I've heard no negative comments). However, IMO converting from 2.x to VFP is a questionable project. 2.x is procedural and VFP is OO. VFP is hybrid and will allow the use of procedural approaches, but the result is an application that has no more functionality than the 2.x code had, requires more ram and runs slower.

The effort in converting a 2.x application to VFP is not all that much less than rebuilding the app in VFP.
