Check the registry for windows under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and see what the class name for the MAPI sseeion is. I have two listed on mny machine MAPI.Session and MAPI.Session.1. If you have none listed then MAPI ocx is not installed on your machine and you cannot use it.

You may need to reinstall VFP in order to get the control installed properly. You can try running RegSvr from a commadn prompt and giving it the name of the OCX file, that may register the ocx for you successfully.
