That's part of being a top-level form. Since it doesn't appear to work on anything but a top-level form, we're pretty much stuck with it.

I had asked John privately, and I'll throw it out for public consumption: sure, it's cool, but what practical use is it? I'd like to write something up on this, but I'd like a practical example to demonstrate. John's already given me one idea, any others?
