>I have designed my own, quite efficient and robust application framework... I was just wondering how all you folks in the VFP community have been dealing with using the same framework for different applications...do you use a wizard to create a new project? Copy the framework to your new project directory? Or just reference the same set of VCX's and PRGs for all your apps?? We're deadly curious!
We use an empty 'template' folder structure for each applciation that contains a base set of directories, class libraries, main prg, etc. Since we started with CodeBook most of the application specific information in is tables that are customized for each project. Since each project seems to evolve new techniques and needs our challenge continues to be integrating new "base" class(es) or extentions into the the template for future use. I try to follow a add never remove approach to the method/properties in these base classes so we have the opportunity to retrofit to an older application.
