When printing over a network (with captured printer ports) I had no problem, but on machines with local printers I got a similar error message. Try this: COPY FILE myText.txt TO LPT1.DOS - The KB says this should only be a temporary solution, but it was the only one I could find. The 3 letter extension (.DOS) can be anything you want. Thanks Marcus, I tried that also and didn't work, I don't know why.
I ended up using TYPE Myfile.TXT TO PRINTER in combination with a
"Generic Text Only" printer driver. As the other folks said, I
will try again with a "PIF" file, if I can make it work in the background without showing the DOS window I will go for it. What bothers me
is that the KB says that this works, but it doesn't.
