Thanks for your help Steve, I was finally able to get onto MS's site last night and found th KB record. I rangs MS Australia today, but they don't even know of a VFP5.0a. Amazing.

Regards
Doug Johnston

>>I have a VFP5.0 application loaded on Pentium 150 workstations with the data residing on a PentiumPRO 180 NT server. All the workstations have 32Mb RAM.
>>
>>Within the app I use OLE to do a mailmerge with Word 7.0 (just a single record letter of 1 page). The first few days of using this feature everything seemed fine, however, yesterday I received a call from the client quoting the following error message...
>>
>>"Memory is low, so streaming output updating has been disabled" and an OK button.
>>
>>The dialogue box appears to be a VFP one, and if they exit the VFP program, the printer spits out a blank page followed by the letter. This message does not appear all the time.
>>
>>Can anyone help with this problem?

>According to Microsoft, this error occurs when trying to direct '@ says' to a printer. Supposedly, VFP 5.0a fixes this bug, but at the moment the upgrade from 5.0 to 5.0a is on backorder for another two weeks.
>
>I am having the same problem, except every time a line with an '@ say' is excecuted, the VFP screen also flashes white. In a hand coded report, with dozens of '@ says' it looks as if the computer is going to explode. I can only hope that 5.0a will fix this problem as well (I'm not holding my breath though)
