I recently noticed that the size of the VCT for one of our class libraries increased from some 100 kb to 3.5 mb.
Questions:
1. What causes this?
2. Should class libraries be packed (pack memo) periodically?
3. To pack, I tried to open the VCX exclusively, and failed... Further research showed that running an application that uses the class library (class excluded from the project) will get the VCX in use, and will not release it until quitting VFP!!! Exitting the form, or the application will NOT release the VCX. Is this normal behaviour? How would you do the maintenance packs in an environment with hundreds of users 24 hours of 24?
