I hope you took what I said with a smile... But seriously
VFP 3.0 has so much to offer under the hood that a majority
of people do not even know it's there.
Remember, VFP is really geared as a 'front end' to things
like SQL Server, Oracle, etc. VFP has plenty of power on
it's own but it won't really shine until you mess with
things like 'remote views', honest data buffering,
data transaction processing and more.
If you do not need this then yes stick with 2.6. And NO I
do not work for MS! =;+)
