Heck, most Americans would probably say "quickest I ever saw" or "quickest I ever seen" and I don't think either of those are right, either.

What is your native language? Whatever it is, it's probably not as complicated as the great melting pot called American English. I think making yourself understood is a great accomplishment in itself.
