If you check the size of an encrypted .EXE vs. and unencrypted one, you
will see that this isn't the case. They are roughly the same size.
If you then open each in a binary viewer you will see the real
difference. You can almost read the unencrypted one, but you can't see
a thing in the encrypted one. These non-common characters are what make
the compression algorithms less efficient.
