>When Fox runs a SQL query does it write information to a file somewhere while running the query? I was running a large query of about 800,000 recs and it warned me of something like this. It never happened again, so I don't know the exact message. If this is the case, what is a good rule of thumb for determing the amount of available disk space necessary for large queries.

If your target file is DBF that would require enough disk space. I haven't tried with CURSOR but it's obvious that we need to have enough Virtual Memory to successfully execute this things.
