>>I am getting an error whenever I try to add a record to my Mainframe database from the ODBC manager whenver I try to add a name that contains an apostrophe(ie. O'Tool). The ODBC vendor thinks that Fox must be doing an SQL update surrounding the data with single quotes instead of double quotes. Is there a way to force VFP to use double quotes? This is on a Macintosh using VFP 3.0. Thanks,

I get the following error:

Connectivity error: [Acrylis][ODBC DAL Driver][DAL Server]"network", line 1 : unacceptable statement

I will try added two apostrophe's and see what that does. Thanks for the suggestion.
