I don't have a clue as to why "Standard" shows on your status bar. Do you SET MESSAGE to anywhere in your code or in the framework you use? Issuing a SET MESSAGE TO ought to get your position to redisplay, unless a file has had the option turned off as I was talking about in the other messages.

>The file _has_ the show postition checked. In the status bar, it says "Standard". Nothing I do gets rid of that "Standard". This doesn't happen all the time; just occasionally. I want to know how to get rid of it when it happens, other than exiting VFP and coming back in.
