Not exactly my neck of those woods. As I was just mentioned in my post to Jay, Hyde Park is surrounded on three sides (south, west, and north) by the ghetto. To the east, of course, is Lake Michigan. Very, very "mean streets". And it's areas like those that Jim Croce I think was referring to.
