I am using VSS with MMortals and my projects are in a directory structure as follows:
c:\ics\taxes - project root
c:\ics\assets - project root
c:\MMortals

I have these problems:
(1) All of the MMortals files, that show up in my project managers, are not allowed to be put under VSS because they are not part of the project directory.
(2) When I want to add another developer to my ongoing VSS project, the method of "Join Source Control Project" allows a new developer to receive the files under VSS control, but the other files are omitted, which basically means the new developers project is incomplete. I've monkey'd around trying to come up with a workaround but it's still not really working.
(3) I assume the resolution (if I have no other choice) is to alter the directory layout to include either MMortals inside my project root:
c:\ics\taxes\MMortals
c:\ics\assets\MMortals
or include my projects inside of the MMortals root:
c:\ics\MMortals\taxes
c:\ics\MMortals\assets

Which layout has proven effective? Does either of the layouts dictate my runtime environment? I would prefer to run in c:\ics\taxes. Is there another layout I should use? Anyone who's been here and has a good experience with solving these issues please let me know.

Thanks

Gary Pike.
