Don't know whether you're self employed or not, but I've found the best way to beat burnout is to have several projects going at the same time. When I can't face one more demand from the SQL-Server DBA I work on my WebConnect project.
I also try to plan an hour or two each week to 'play hooky' - go to the local Farmers' Market, a walk along the bay, etc. Even if you're an employee, you can probably work out a comp-time agreement with your boss.
And finally, look at what else in your life is causing stress. Even surfing on Maui can look bad if the rest of your life is out of control.
