David:

Yes, I'm finding that self-imposed stress may be it. For some strange reason, just reading the replies and replying to thme started to clear my mind. Started to feel good agiain ... I thank you also David <s>.

No to be rude but, I don't want to even get into WebConnect right now. Don't want to even think of anything new to learn. I'm feeling a lot better right now and would like to keep it that way for a while <s>.

Again, thanks David

Mal

>>No. No "Superman" act here. However, my wife IS "Superwoman" <s>. She does a lot more than I do. I mainly do sales, planning, setups, and obtaining capital for the businesses and of course the computer side of things. I am so backlogged that "Superwoman" is threatening to fly me over Diamonad Head and just drop me.

>Maybe a heart-to-heart talk about the heaviness of the schedule/deadlines would result in at least a clearer understanding of what the highest priorities are for your time. Much of the stress I carry around is often self-imposed, due to not talking openly about how I'm feeling about a client's deadlines and expectations, or from promising more than I can deliver in a given time period.

>Web Connect itself is not too difficult, IF you have a good grasp of VFP and already know some HTML and general web interface concepts. You might benefit from hiring someone to mentor you in WC for a few days, to get the project off on the right foot in terms of stomach-churning design decisions, etc.

>>How do people collaborate long distance on projects?

>I think it happens quite a bit these days, especially on web-related projects, since a test site can be set up for collaborators to share and test latest versions, etc.

>>You know, talking about this to some of you have really helped. I'm beginning to feel it's not VFP, not over work, but ... priorities. I'm giveing serious thoughts about something DOUBLE D (Dough) said about approaching my development process differently.

>I still remember the day years ago, when I realized that I could not keep up with everything in the personal computer category anymore. Still, I read and tinker with lots of things, but try to keep them in perspective. You can't know it all anymore, so let those worries go, and just focus on "what's the most important use of my time today..."

>For anyone else I might say, "Take a trip to Hawaii," but maybe it's time for a mainland visit sometime soon. For sure, plan on DEVCON Miami, if possible. The friendship and comeraderie helps restore sanity, and can be a tremendous encouragement.
