Yes, The Grid's ReadOnly property is set to false. The date fields on the grid are updatable in the grid - just the way I want them to be.

I am not removing the cGridTextBoxMaintenance control. It's still in place.
Should I remove the original control? I make sure that I set the column's CurrentControl property to the checkbox.

>Also, out of curiosity why can't this be done at design time?

After selecting the column, I've tried dragging a checkbox from the toolbar but nothing happens. I've done the exact same thing with the grid grdlist used in the cListObjedit class and that worked. The check box doesn't seem to recogize that it can be dropped there. Wait a minute. Now it's working. I swear that I did the exact same thing Saturday and it didn't work! Maybe it was those mushrooms, ya think???.... Seriously, I just tried dropping the control and it worked. Now I'll set some properties and see if it allows updating. BRB...
Shoot, getting '.DBC internal consistancy error' message. (Had a minor crash)
I'll fix that and let you know the outcome!

Thanks
