It was only supported to run on SCO. If it ran on anything else, it was mere coincidence. IIRC, some folks got it to run on Linux, but my memory is hazy on that.

Same text-based interface as the DOS version.

More importantly, it's a crowd largely driven by a "anything but Microsoft" mentality. Even if MSFT built it, I wonder if anyone would come.

It's certainly not impossible. MSFT has COM running on Solaris.
