While SET EXCLUSIVE does default to OFF in private datasessions, I do see your point about being to configure defaults. That would make life so much easier. In VMP, we had to code this behavior ourselves and incorporate it into our form baseclass. Do you want to (or have you already done it) add it to the VFP 7 wish list? I'd second it.
