I remember a UT thread on .EXE not being released from memory upon termination, if a class was defined in the project code (as opposed to a class library). I believe it was said that is a known "issue".
Now, I noticed that this is the case for all .EXEs! Unless I issue a CLEAR ALL or exit FoxPro the .EXE stays in memory. CLEAR PROGRAM doesn't help...
Applications compiled to .APP don't exhibit this. More, they never seem to be in memory, not even when somebody is running the .APP.
Our application launcher is a small exe that launches the current version of a .FXP. The .FXP main function is to customize a menu from a file, and then, from the main menu, the current version of each application (compiled .EXE) is launched.
Is there a way to clear a particular .EXE (other than CLEAR ALL)?
Should we go back to .APPs??
TIA
