I don't think the "X" would cause any problems as that shuts down VFP in a more normal fashion than just crashing back to Windows does. Now, your power problems could be major source of your ills. You should have the server (at least!!) and preferably ALL workstation on UPS's. If you don't, I would reccommend you make that your #1 priority, ASAP!
