The way to prevent FoxPro from asking for 2 values is to initialize the parameter before opening the view. I have many views similar to yours that I base my forms on. My approach has been to open the view with NODATA, then REQUERY the view after the user has selected a value for the parameter (usually from a combobox). The actual parameter is hidden from the user.
