Hello Dino,

I would not consider it as a bug. It is just by design. When you close the table/cursor or rerun the SQL statement which recreates the cursor which is the RecordSource you just rip off the data source from under your grid. Setting RecordSource to "" effectively prevents loosing the settings. Note that it does not happen if you have a view as a recordsource and just REQUERY() it.
I believe it will work the same way in VFP 7.
