I use a batch file to do this... it copies the latest .exe from my "update" directory on the server to the users c: drive and then it executes the program.
Problem is, this keeps a DOS window open on the taskbar and the user could even ALT+TAB into the running DOS window...
Do you have this effect using your approach? It seem to me that you would...
TIA
>>One other reason to have a startup exe that copies the exe locally is that you can very easily copy and updates to your main exe to the server and it will be automatically distributed to everyone the next time the start the program and you never have to get all users out of the program.
