Hi Michael

Why don't you just move the validation of the password to an "OK" button on the form, this way
you can validate the password, and then if it is ok open the second form and setfocus() to the textbox
on the second form, else you can close the first form or let the user try again.

is there any particular reason you are using the valid event of the button ?
