I guess technically speaking they're called the 'SpringBoard Modules' - those devices that plug into the expansion slot in the back. It's created to change the 'personality' of the device. Unfortunately, development of things to plug into that baby have been slow - you can choose from PGA Golf, a memory expansion module or a backup module.

It will certainly be a perfect technology for the Symbol devices, tho!
